Huron Road SW17
We had the honour of being invited back to Design and build this front garden after completing the back garden a few years before. The project was part restorative due to deteriorating lightwell masonry and steps to basement and quite common with old Victorian properties. The generous Victorian Tiled Pathway drawing the eye to this arched entrance really a feature with black slate paved frontage matching tones withing the tiled work giving easy continuity. We went for large format black slate as enough going on with pathway and careful not create to busy a space.
Its important to acknowledge trends and features within a street property so we continued the large chunky period style York stone cooping and matching York stone entrance tread. The formal Photinia clear stemmed planting edging the space and defining boundaries adding presence and formal touch. The red and green tones also working well and trying with the red brick work. Garden Design In London is so diverse with no two projects being the same.
