Garden Design West Dulwich SE21
I feel that for front garden design, the design should complement the house architecture,
Allowing it to shine and giving real kerb appeal, both embellishing the other, giving a united presence. So a more traditional garden design approach was undertaken.
This more period styled front garden in Carson Rd West Dulwich SE21 exemplifies the ethos of less is more, simple and elegant. The open functionality giving space allowing this lovely Victorian bay window fronted house to shine.
The generous black slate through way to side return allowing easy access for family access to the right-side return. The front feature bed with standard bay trees giving active screening with under planting adding texture and colour, with bed wrapping around bay window, softening the space and house presence.
It was decided to go with London styled Victorian railing heads and yellow London stock bricks to match house, in keeping with the Victorian theme.
The Victorian tiling also completing the desired effect.
We rebuilt the landing, water proofing to the cellar and adding in new Victorian style grate for ventilation. It’s a common problem for old these landing to leak causing damp in the cellars, and as often remedial work is required.
Garden lighting was also installed bring garden to life and setting off house in the evening, along with security and access lighting for the side return.
The garden railings were design as part of front garden design, bespoke and installed by London Landscaping Co LTD
